Paragliding in the Black Forest
It's indescribable to float in the sky – sometimes even above the clouds. Such a boundless view is otherwise hardly possible. And from a bird's-eye view, the Rench Valley and the treetops of the Black Forest… Unforgettable!
You can take off for paragliding over the Black Forest from four different launch sites in Oppenau. And that's possible in all wind directions:
Sandkopf starting point,
Starting point Schäfersfeld,
Starting point Roßbühl,
Starting point: Ibacher Holzplatz.
Take a tandem paragliding flight with an experienced paraglider pilot from the Oppenau paragliding club, the Air-Time paragliding school, and RenchtalAir.

Skiing holiday in the Black Forest
At the Seibelseckle ski lift, directly on the Black Forest High Road, you will find 500 m of snow-covered, intermediate-level slope, a ski rental shop and – should you want even more fun after skiing – a toboggan run.
The Ruhestein ski lift offers 1 km of easy skiing fun when winter shows its white side.
Cross-country skiing in the Northern Black Forest
Classic or skating? When there's enough snow, 120 km of cross-country ski trails await you along the Black Forest High Road between Herrenwies and Ruhestein. You can rent cross-country skiing equipment at the Seibelseckle ski lift and head straight out onto the trails from there.
